Denali 293RKS RHS slide out

Hi All,

I have a 2013 Denali 293RKS 5th wheel. While doing some routine cleaning I found that I could see light between the outer edge of the right side slideout floor and the exterior wall. Closer inspection under the slide out revealed that most of the screws in the aluminum angle that attached the floor to the wall had backed out and were lost. This resulted in the exterior wall of the slide out dropping almost an inch and pulled away from the floor. The hardware used to attach the aluminum angle to the exterior wall are #8 countersunk head wood screws. I replaced them with #10 pan head wood screws and doubled the screw pitch by adding additional screws mid way between the existing screw holes.

Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with the floor to wall hardware backing out and the wall dropping.

Thanks very much for your feedback.

Tom

Yes! I have a 2014 330rls. The dining slide on our unit did the same thing. Half the screws were broken or missing. I replaced alum. angle with steel and doubled the amount of screws with #10 stainless round head screws.
Very bad design, support should be under actual floor support along outer wall that's enclosed in thin aluminum skin.

We had many issues also, dealer had unit for 3 months when first purchased. I ended up fixing most things myself. Now we love our unit!
