The 8th G rated American " G-614 Good Year" tire?? Damn, I think I would have changed brands and or size after the second one? Teton must be one heavy son of a gun...don't know much about trailers or 5th wheels... but learning as I go.

I had hoped to trade the unit in but the deal fell through and time was short to move it and my wife so I crossed my fingers and hoped nothing would happen until I drove the 540 miles I had to go. If we would have made it tires and or rims would definitely been on the table if we couldn't have worked a deal locally.

Yes first four were G-614 Goodyears. Teton has two axles rated at 7k each. GVWR is 14,995 so lighter then my Voltage. Twice I had two tires fail with in 10 miles of each other. Yes yes yes I know I should have bought the 17.5 long before I did. . So my take is if you have a three axle trailer the load rated 16" tire isn't carrying the weight a two axle trailer does. Yes switching to the 17.5 with rims & tires aren't cheap. With all the tires I replaced & the damage I fixed I spent way over that price. ( the $4,000 repair was covered under insurance - my $250.00 deductible)

They are heavy... and built like a brick outhouse. I looked at a Teton a few years ago, would have needed a heavier truck than the one I owned. But it was NICE!
