1997 Dutchman classic 27'

We haven't been camping since my 33 year old son was about 4. I now have a 4 year old grand daughter and we think we want to get back into camping. A guy I work with father passed away and he had a 27 foot Dutchman classic 5th wheel camper. It needed some work and since we built our own house I figured I could handle a camper. Well allot more wrong than I was hoping for.Roof has leaked for some time. I stripped the inside and so far I got all the framing fixed in the front and back wall. The band board at the bottom had rotted away so raised the walls back up and replaced all that. Replaced the bad flooring that was rotted. Now its time to take tarp off and replace roof. And the rotted plywood underneath. I see lots of roof kits on line. What kit do you guys recommend? I'm to deep in this thing to back out now. This is my first post of probably many to come so thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the forums...

You dove in headfirst didn't you?

I would use either a PVC or a TPO as the replacement roof. You want to fully adhere it to the new plywood. Another option, but probably a budget buster would be something spray on like the Flex Armor roof.

Well, I should have new roof glued on today. Its been a long hard job. Allot of rot under plywood and in walls. I took pictures and Ill post them after I get roof glued on. I replaced all the decking so its all new.
