Wire/Propane Guide broke under slide

I was walking by my RV and spotted the propane hose and wire harness for the slide hanging down where it shouldn't be. I opened the slide and found the guide for the hose/ harness broke in two places and cracked in one more place. For some reason there is a spring attached with zip ties. My Montana slide doesn't have a spring. It appears that the spring kept the guide too straight while retracting the slide and caused the guide to break which in turn kinked the propane hose. I took delivery brand new in April. Something is fishy here me thinks. Dealer is aware.

On my last rig I reattached the two haves with a brass door hinge.

Shear genius donzinger.

I wish my brain worked that way. I bet you could "see" the solution in your mind.
That's just crazy cool

Mine broke last summer under the kitchen slide. I found the exact part on Amazon. Had it shipped to the campground and replaced in no time.
