Winterizing Kit

I have a 2003 Dutchman 26qb. First time winterizing this unit. The
Picture shows the water pump, I assume that right after the pump and the valve that says Suction Side is where i would install a Winterizing kit for the AnitFreeze, is that correct?

Yes, unscrew that black wingnut on the right side of the round filter housing and put your winterizing bypass valve there. As this is in the vacuum (suction) side, your nomenclature would be "before" the pump instead of after. As in upstream of the pump.

Thanks for the info, I was pretty sure I had the right idea, but always good to get extra opinions. 1 more camping weekend in late October, then I can get it ready for our brutal Michigan winter. Next weekend I have to winterize my 38' Park Model. Done it 13 years in a row. Could almost do it with my eyes closed.
I blow out all the water, then do the Anti Freeze. I use 6 gallons, a bit of a overkill, but $$23.00 in Anti Freeze is cheaper than new water lines.

6 gallons? I don't think I can fit much more than a gallon into my plumbing system. We've been talking about your water heater bypass in another thread, you are planning on bypassing it for winterizing right? No need to fill up the water heater with 6 gallons of anti freeze, just empty it and bypass it.

I do bypass the HWT. It is a 38 1/2 foot park model. and it is a long run from pump to front sink. I could use a bit less, but why skimp on a few dollars. Im sure on the 28" i will use about 3.
