Hi,

We use a 2017 Toyota Tundra Limited with the 5.7L motor and a 4.30 rear end to pull an Aerolite 294RKSS which is about 6800 dry or 7500 lbs loaded. Haven't had any problems and haven't bumped up against its limit.

Not going to win any races. Took me a while to get use to the fact that the RPMs have to stay up (way up) pulling hills. I came out of a motorhome with a 454, T400 that pulled pretty effortlessly.

What's your tow vehicle and what's your thoughts about it?

Tow approx 7000 lbs with 2014 Nissan Titan does ok, always use tow mode and 3rd gear up hills. I stay between 60 to 65 mph

I tow about 6000lbs with an ‘88 Ford E250 IDI Diesel. Work decently as it sits, but it will be nicer once I install the turbo kit I have sitting in my garage.

I have a Ram 2500 MegaCab with the 6.7 liter diesel. My trailer is a 13,000 lb 5th wheel Voltage Toy Hauler that when loaded is probably 15,500. The truck has no issues towing my 5er and everything works great.

I know I am at the limit as far as combined weight and towing capacity based on my truck’s ratings but you wouldn’t know it by how it drives. Exhaust brake is amazing and the Cummins engine is a work horse! Never gets hot.

I am really happy with this setup.

I pull a 3895 Voltage around 20k loaded with a 2011 F350 6.7 King Ranch SRW, Bully Dog tuner, S&B Intake, MBRP filter back, Air Bags and AFE intercooler tubes. I have no problem with power but it is like the tail wagging the dog.
I have pulled it with a 2011 DRW and got better fuel mileage due to the lower gears. I would like to upgrade to a 2017+ F450 King Ranch in a few years.

Ours is 2001 GMC Yukon 2500

Even though the Yukon has 163,m miles on it it tows beautiful. It has a 411 rear which enhances 6.0 L engine.
Our new trailer is only 26 ft so it’s not much of test.

I just have a little Coleman CTS16FB ... 3100 dry and I have it loaded very lightly.

I'm one that many here complain about as I do tow with a minivan. I also understand I'm inching over the rated tow capacity of the vehicle and take precautions. In addition to closely watching any added weight and driving super cautiously, I added a trailer brake controller and a combination weight distribution and anti-sway hitch. My set up is level and tows stable. Last year I watched my routes to avoid any major hills (I'm located and only travel within Ohio), but got blindsided by some steeper roads than I expected (one was actually within a campground!) ... and managed just fine. I watch my tachometer and temp gauge more than my speedometer ... but I haven't had to drop below 55 on a highway yet. My set up handles the cross breeze of passing semi-trailers better than my mother's Class A motorhome!

Now my minivan has over 130k miles and will quickly reach its end of life so I'm planning on avoiding the inconvenience of the major breakdown and upgrading to a Nissan NV in about a year. I need the cargo capacity for a craft business I run, but that will also increase my tow capacity to over 8000 pounds. This will allow a small trailer upgrade in a few years (which will in turn make the hubby happy!)

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman 5.7 Hemi with a 31 gallon fuel tank. It's weakness is the capacity of 1240 lbs based upon a VIN search available through the RAM websites.

The new trailer has a 619 dry weight on the hitch add 200 lbs for the propane (2 - 30's/full) and two group 24 batts (45 lbs each). So, I'm at 800 lbs (ish) before us and the two dogs get in. When we are set to go, I am figuring 1140 lbs with nothing in the back of the truck. So, I'm there and yes, I know all about going and getting it weighed blah blah blah...

SO, assuming I am exact on my weights, Let's not go down dark weight police trails in the thread, I got some airlifts for my Ram. It actually tows fine with the WDH (Equalizer) but doesn't like wind at all. I got the airlifts HD and am looking forward to see if that improves anything...

I tow a 2021 aspen trail 17bh. Under 4,000lbs. Tow vehicle is a 2015 Toyota Highlander. It’s a v6 awd with the tow package. Have a 7pin conversion, use a curt Bluetooth brake controller and a weight distribution hitch with sway control.. Tows pretty well. Tow capacity is 5000lbs. People have already commented on my tow vehicle. I think people have a hard time telling the rav4s apart from the highlanders. Who knows. If it’s not a truck people tend to assume you’re over loaded. Oh well.
