Storage

Does anyone have storage tips for a cupboard that has no shelf, but isn't full upwards? I don't want to add just another layer of heavy items upon the first.

Search "folding shelves" on the Camping World website. These wire shelving units can be found in any home goods store as well (Wal-mart, Target, etc.). Be sure not to overload the shelf. Take a look at it's construction and decide how much weight you think it will bear, and if the items will shift in transit. For the most part, you'll run out of weight carrying capacity in an rv, before you run out of available space.

I built some frames out of pvc pipe and fittings to fit inside of the cubards and cut some thin vaneer type material to fit on top of the frame work. The pvc was made just for this application not for plumming and I did not glue it so I could take it apart to remove it. Works very well.

Welcome.

I'll try there at Camping World. The space I have in mind is square rather that rectangular, but it's worth a look. Thanks.

If you Google-Structural PVC Fittings-Formufit you can take a look at the fittings (furniture grade). They will work with common straight lengths of pvc pipe you can purchase at Home Depot. We used this to put shelves in the kitchen cupboards and under sinks in the Voltage.

Here is a picture showing what we did. Got the wood, shelf rails, & stain from Home Depot. Installed & cut wood to size for shelf. Stained to match interior.
