I did a search and didn't find an answer so I apologize if this has been asked before.
I have a 2015 2810BHS the slide has worked fine every time we use it, but recently it started to make a horrible noise. As it gets closer to being fully extended or is extended and starts to retract it makes a shuttering noise as if it is scraping on something. This only occurs for a little bit and then the noise seems to go away. I did try to lube the rails and that has not helped. I did notice that the closing mechanism/ram sits directly on the bottom of the oval hole (in the side of the frame) when fully extended. Not sure if this is supposed to be like that or if there is supposed to be some form of protective grommet in the oval hole. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Merely a shot in the dark here, but perhaps double check to ensure the motors and mounts on the slide arm are all tight. It could be that there is a little play in their mounting, and when you get the point where the slide is almost all the way out, it gets slightly out of line, binds, and that is when the shuttering happens.
