Update...getting nowhere with Dutchmen or Lionshead. Have filed a complaint with NHTSA and suggest anyone with problems do the same!

Here is the on-line link:

https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

Right now, Akuret is not listed on their tire manufacturers list, but will be added shortly!

Just got my Denali back from the dealership after the repairs from the Akuret tire explosion. When I picked it up, they said they had to air-up one of the tires and I better keep an eye on it.
Sure enough, after two days was down again so took it off and took it to the local tire dealer to get it checked. Sure enough, it was also suffering from belt separation and the dealer said the tire was defective and I better talk to the manufacturer! Just sent email w/ pictures to Unicorn Tire in Memphis, (US distributor of Akuret tires) and waiting for their reply! (I requested all four be replaced with a name brand!)

would you mind posting the pictures here also especially if u have pictures of the tire separation. It should be a lump. I as well as others probably all have the same tires but until they fail what is there to complain about. Not being smart just trying to understand what I can complain about. I am with you on China bombs and ST tires being sub grade when they should be of automobile quality or better.

Here's the pictures...don't know that you can see much, but the air is coming out of the sidewall where the chalk marks are.

Have gone around and around with both Lionshead and Unicorn, but the best they will do is send me another Akuret tire! Guess will just have to replace all before we travel and continue to pursue the NHTSA investigation to try to get these recalled and replaced. The NHTSA complaint is #10485253...if enough owners complain, maybe they will have to take a look at the problem.

Thank you for addressing this topic. I'll be fully alert from this point on!

Double yikes!
Yep. Wait until the separate. The tread will start to come off the carcass. Two of mine did just that. Have a 3950 loaded heavy at 18000 pounds. Still under the limit for the tires. Replaced all 6 today with Hercules Ironman tires. Whatever. We'll see if these are any better than the Akuret tires.
