Question about my water pump....

I am including a pic of my water pump. Am not sure if I have that connection for when I need to winterize the camper and if I don't, where would I add it? Thanks again for your help and sorry for the dumb questions!

Depends on the type of winterizing you do. I was an antifreeze guy until I bought our current camper where the water pump is buried beyond a reasonable point, now I just use air. This is my 4th winter using strictly air and almost zero problems.

If you want to use antifreeze, you'll want a bypass kit for the hot water heater. You may also want a pump converter to pump the antifreeze through the system. There's a few other ways to do that, but if you have good access, that is the easiest.

Curious on what that clear dial is to the left of the pump that the intake hose is connected to? Is this required cause I am not sure on how to hook up the winterizing kit with that inline?

that is a large particle screen .... keeps anything from getting into pump and causing damage

I had to add a valve at the pump.
