Newbie

Hello I am new to forum. I have been camping for 15 years with a pop up. I recently sold that pop up and purchased a Coleman 295 ahh. I pick it up this weekend. Any tips or maintenance suggestions? Especially on slide out. I am very unfamiliar with them. Also, unit has electric jacks and hitch jack. If the electric motor breaks during a trip is there a way to manually lift them? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

Most power jacks do have a way to attach a manual crank arm to them. Do you have the power stabilizer jacks too? Some of them you have to remove the motor to crank them up or down manually; depends on the brand.

As you pick up your TT, do a purchase inspection check list on it. Make sure everything works. Check every inch of the trailer inside and outside. Even look at the roof sealing of the all vents etc. There are inspection forms on the internet and this forum. Dealer should set up hitch for you.

Ask dealer

When you pick up the unit have them demonstrate the working of all systems. Ask how to manually operate jacks and have them show how this is done. Don't accept a" don't worry, no problem " response as some don't know themselves. You're paying for this information when you purchase so expect this.
