gauges on propane are not accurate unless u change out the whole assembly valve is changed out with a true gauge in it.. The inline gauges suck..they measure pressure and not volume.

Correct. Next time I have a tank go empty, the internal gage assembly is going in. $28 installed. Until then, my inline gage does fine. A few weeks ago, inline gage moved into the yellow, two days later into the red - ran out that afternoon.

My two tanks (5 gallon) has a manual switch over valve so only turn one on at the time. So far have not used up the fist tank on a trip. I am lucky as my indoor storage place has propane and they fill the tank when I need it. And when "stored" make sure both are off, as well as the battery disconnect switch.
