Fridge/Freezer in Coleman camper affected by outside temps?
So, first winter with our Coleman camper, full size fridge with freezer... can't recall the model at the moment, but has a Thermistor for cooling etc.
Anyhow, the camper is winterized but not moved to storage yet, so it's still plugged in and in my driveway. Went yesterday to empty contents in the fridge and noticed that the previously frosted over coils/thermistor and the freezer had thawed... it was obviously still cold inside the fridge and freezer though, but there was some water in the freezer (no contents). We had a temp drop where we went down to -7 to -13 Celsius for a few days and just this weekend got just back above freezing for a spell.
I read some threads that say that the fridge will do that when the outside temp dips that low, since the thermistor or something thinks it's cold enough?
Anyhow, it's our first camper, the fridge worked great on our last excursion (other than it being a little too cold, I was supposed to thaw the coils to move the thermistor down slightly), and was just alarmed when I went to clean some stuff inside and noticed the freezer thaw.
Any ideas, or education you can provide to me, would be great!
