With certain airbags, such as what I have, you'll be removing several leaves from your springpack for them to properly function. I've got several pics of the install, but they are home on my computer

Remove the overloads and everything leaving the basic three leaves.

Airlift Wireless Controller. Bags at 5 psi when I ride empty. Bags at max 100 psi. I run these about 35-40 psi with Voltage. Sometimes down to 30psi with the RZR in the garage.

How is it installing the Airlift Wireless Controller, I have Firestone air bag and would like to maybe install the Controller and a later date?

Not difficult. I added a solenoid to run it off my air tank instead of demand type compressor. The controller thinks the air solenoid is a compressor.

For something like your setup I would recommend them.

The pics I have are earlier in this thread. I don't have a pic of the valve, but mine is installed inside the left side dually fender on my truck. I have the 7200 found here: https://www.airliftcompany.com/produ...s/wirelessair/

I used an air solenoid in place of their compressor to run the system from my airtank. I have a larger compressor than they provide due to having train horns and a PacBrake exhaust brake in addition to the airbagit.com airbags. If you need a pic of the valve, I can get one this weekend. Really easy to install this part - the airbags are what took the bulk of the time. I love this setup as I can adjust side to side and if you install bags on the front with a second valve, you can control front to back. All while going down the road. Warranty is great as well. After three years of heavy use, the original valve went bad and they asked for the number on the tag on the valve and sent a new one pronto!

On one of the other forums here someone mentioned a Timbren suspension enhancement system. It's quite a lot cheaper than airbags but will do what I want in leveling out the tow vehicle. Though it may not be as versatile as airbags it looks like it will work. Thoughts?

My father in law removed his Timbrens after having them several years and went with same airbag setup I have

I just put Air-Lift air bags on my 2015 F150. Bolt on install and went easy. Have not yet hooked up the trailer and adjusted for the "sag". When not loaded I will be running 5 pounds so I can keep the unloaded ride the same. Did not install on board compressor, will hook a small one to the trailer battery to pump the bags for our trips.

Was there a particular reason he switched?

We both tow heavy and Michigan roads absolutely suck. He said they did the job but was a very rough ride

How much air pressure does he have in the bags? I know they are good to 100 pounds. Hopefully for mine can get by with about 30 pounds or so. (truck sags about 3 inches when hooked up) Also if I would have used another leaf or overload shocks that would affect the ride also. More on this when we get out with the trailer in the next month or so.

All depends on the load. Empty I run 5psi. Loaded I run between 25-38psi depending on if RZR loaded in garage, fresh water tank full/empty. Each will vary. I adjust going down the road to find the sweet spot

Update...
I went with the Timbren suspension upgrade. Today I picked up the trailer from storage and here is my first impression.
Before the Timbrens were installed I was getting a 2 1/4" sag in the rear of the truck with an 1100 pound hitch weight. Today I got less than an inch of sag. The truck finally looks level.
The truck rode a bit rougher. On the other hand I actually felt like it was better connected to the road. Of course it was only a ten mile drive home.
So far so good. I'll let you all know if I encounter any problems related to the Timbrens.
Here's what the installation looks like:

Good to know. Any updates on the timbrens?

Yes, last summer we took the rig out on a 5000 mile adventure with no problems related to the truck suspension. I'm happy with their performance. At the very least I'm no longer feeling self-conscious when driving around with my truck looking like it was going uphill. Road feel was still good and it felt like there was less body roll on the curves. I think this was one of the best investments I could have made.
