Denali 289RK holding tank capacity?

The spec sheet for our 2012 289RK says the fresh water capacity of this trailer is 52 Gallons. I don't think so. I just finished sanitizing the fresh water system. My hose has a measuring gauge on it and the holding tank fills up at 32 Gallons. With the 10 Gallon Water Heater and maybe 1 Gallon in the water lines it all adds up to about 43 Gallons. Maybe I'm missing something.
Anybody know what the capacity really is? Not a biggie but I'm wondering if others have seen the same kind of numbers.

Once I fill my Voltage if I let it sit I can get another 10 gallons in it. I can do that three time before its really full.

I have one of those water meters that you attach to the hose. I put in 50 gallons last year. I will be sanitizing hopefully this weekend and I will do it again. I do know that when the water pump is not getting any more water, that I still have about 5 gallons in the tank, which pisses me off.

A couple of possibilities...

Are you getting water out of the overflow port? If not there may be a kink in the inlet hose, or it may be too long.

They may have changed the tank size. There should be some sort of tag or marking on the tank to tell you what size it is, or if all else fails get the dimensions of it and calculate the capacity.

You have raised an interesting point here. No, I do not get anything out of the overflow port; ever. I do however get a lot of "burping" out the fill port after every 1 1/2 gallons or so of water. This continues until the water completely backs up to the port and I can't put any more in. I suspect you are right about the inlet hose or perhaps the overflow port hose is clogged or kinked. No way to tell with these sealed bellies.

I would say Aaron hit the nail on the head. I get water flowing freely out of my overflow when I fill the water up. Hopefully it will be a easy fix for you!
