Considering a 2005 Dutchmen 24Q-SSL, Things to look for?

There is a 2005 24 ft dutchmen lite travel trailer that I am considering buying for $4000. I've been inside and everything on the surface appears ok. Heat works, AC works, stove, fridge, the basics etc etc. However, this is my first camper purchase and I was just curious if anyone here owned this model and if it has any "common" failure points I should check. I *think* 4000 is a good deal but I am not 100% sure on that either. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Buy yourself a moisture meter and go over every inch of the camper inside. If you find the least little indication of moisture in the wall or ceiling cavities, RUN!

Thanks for the reply. I stomped around the entire floor today, every corner, and found one soft corner that the seller had already came clean about. He believes it is water intrusion from the storage door which has a darn near missing seal.
[edit] Pounded the walls too. I did find a soft spot on the wall in the front inside the storage cubby but not in the bathroom so I believe that is leaking in from the trim on the front. I can see how he missed it since you have to reach into the storage door and push left. Who does that every day haha

If it was me I would pass, because once you get into these things, I have always found it to be worse than what you expect.

Thanks for your reply hddecker. Me and the misses decided to pass on it. Even though 4k was a good deal for someone who likes camping and isnt picky we decided, this being our first camper, that we will likely not have time to camp, let alone fix it. Plus our pickup truck is on its way out so it just wasn't a wise decision for us to tackle another broken toy.

Probably a good call. I have a whole barn full of projects... I will never die!

I sold quite a few projects over the past couple of years as I finally came to the conclusion that they would probably never get done. Anybody want a couple of scooters or trucks.

I got an old Evo and sidecar. Got enough crap to maintain it's starting to look like an albatross.
