Bathtub surround

2018 Aspen Trail 25BH. Got tired of worrying about vinyl covered wall board in the bath/shower so I tore off the vinyl and replaced it with tub to ceiling FRP. Now I won't be worrying about the walls during heavy use. got it done in one day. The completed photo is before I caulked the bottom. Anybody else do this?

Not sure why you peeled a layer of water intrusion off, but it looks good. I'd caulk the crap out of it, bare lauan doesn't like water.

Didn't think the glue would stick to the vinyl as well as bare wood. Its caulked well.

That looks good. I was concerned when I bought my current trailer. It's the first RV I have had without a surround in the shower. I talked to the service department about adding a one piece surround and he pretty much assured me that in the many years of experience he had he had never seen the vinyl wall covering fail? That said I think I would still like to do it.

" I talked to the service department about adding a one piece surround and he pretty much assured me that in the many years of experience he had he had never seen the vinyl wall covering fail?" I have yet to meet a Service department representative that tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth.....

I know, I just was not comfortable with the wall. After tearing it off it is a very thin layer of vinyl. Now I don't have to wipe it down after each use or worry about my grand kids spraying on the walls.
