A newbie question about holding tanks

My only previous experience was with a Popup, I recently bought a Coleman 244BHS and so far I'm happy. I being camping for the last years in state parks with access to water and dump station but I want to go boondocking/disperse camping more often, the problem arrives when I think about dump. My question really is, this tanks are designed to be dumped "as soon as possible" or are designed to don't get damaged if I left them say half full for 2-3 weeks?

I'm thinking in this situation, let's say I booked a weekend in a state park which have dump station within 2 weeks from now, but I want to go boondocking this weekend for 1-2 nights , can I hold dump my tanks until next camping let's say with the gray and the black been half full? Or I will messed-up a valve or something?

Thanks in advance

Actually, if there is no smell, you are better holding the tanks half full and driving. It agitates the solids so when you do dump, the solid waste is left sitting on the bottom of the tank. Still important to rinse regardless. Good luck.

They will hold the stuff indefinitely, however I don't know if you will like the results! The tanks will NOT contain the smell for that long under normal conditions. I seldom go more than a week without dumping tanks, sometimes more often in warmer weather. Depending on where you are in the country dumping gray water on the ground may not be a problem. Black tanks need to be dumped into a sanitary sewer/septic system.

Typing before first cup of coffee. Should have said agitates the solids so the waste is NOT left sitting on the bottom. Sorry.

Most of our camping is boondocking, we go about a week to ten days max, before we have to dump the tanks.

Your grey will fillup faster than the black unless you use some of the grey water you produce to flush the toilet. We do our dishes in a dish pan, then pour that into a bucket next to the toilet.

Thank you very much guys, I feel more comfortable now. Definitely I don't plan to leave the tanks full or half full for more than 1 or 2 weeks.
