8,000 miles into a 14,000 miles trip with the TT

We left home on April 10th and plan on being back home mid July. Currently in Herkimer NY after:
Bryce
Zion
OK city
Dollywood
Bowling Green (private tour of the Corvette factory, and we saw the last 2012 and the first 2013 on the assembly line!)
DC for two weeks
Maine for a week (what a BEAUTIFUL state, we want to go back!)
Currently in Herkimer NY working our way to Niagra Falls and eventually home!
We've seen so much of this great country ( much more than the abbreviated ones listed above) its hard to remember all we've done and seen.
Our Denali has been a joy to live in full time since April. Well insulated, and other than a cracked countertop pretty trouble free (knock on wood!) .
Being retired and a full time rv'er ( at least for four months) has been a joy!

Sounds like an Awesome trip. We have Dollywood and Niagra Falls on our radar for possible camping trips so let me know of any good, bad or ugly you encounter!

We stayed in the KOA in Niagra Falls on Grand Island.....it was OK, but don't spend the extra money for a patio or deluxe pull through.
I don't remember the camping place in Dollywood....I do remember that you turned right as you came into the middle of the main stretch right in town ( it is signed "camping" with an arrow for the turn)....narrow two lane road back into the woods, and it was also very nice.
The turn was about two blocks past the entrance to Dollywood, which you cannot miss......bring $$$$ for Dollywood.....admission is expensive!

Sounds fantastic! It'll be a while before we're out full-time, but that's our plan. So happy you are trouble free and having a good time!

We've had an incredible time on the road for the last three months.....but we are HOME tomorrow, and we both are really looking forward to that too!
Our Denali 289 RK has been almost trouble free, but we have a list of 14 things for warranty to cover when we get home....one major thing is the cracked kitchen Corian countertop. Denali issued a recall on that issue and the new counter is waiting for us at the dealer. The rest of the things are fairly minor....broken catches on a drawer, some other fittings coming loose.....no big deal really, considering this 2012 trailer is, I'll bet one of the highest mileage TT's extant!!! 12,000 miles is a lot to put on a trailer in the first three months of ownership! And some of the roads we hauled on were horrible for their expansion joints.....

Glad all went well on your trip! We had a list of about 14 things that needed to be looked at by the dealer, like you they weren't really a big deal. They took care of them right away. We just got back from a month out and all the worst roads were in California. Will you be heading out again or was this your big trip this year?

Welcome back to Imsteck as well....the road condition must be a government thing...the roads in BC need some TLC as well.
Take care

Retirement is indeed a dream come true. Retired just before turning 59 ......decompression from 32 years of work?..... took about 14 months.....the trip we just took REALLY helped!
