Question 2017 Jayco Eagle or Mesa Ridge who gets the gold

Looking at couple options in the future. Top of the line TT that has the quality to withstand time... WHos the winner of these?? If you don't want to post on the board please message me. No plan around soon. Only the gold next time lol

nitro, all RV's have a little trouble, I have had 6 RV's over the years, and everyone of them had a little trouble, I have a 2006 Lance Truck Camper that had only a couple items go bad,and I still use it for winter travel. I had a 2010 Montana 5th wheel that I didn't have one thing go bad over 5 years, I had a Fusion Toy Hauler, that was so much trouble, that I traded for my 2015 Voltage, My Voltage has only had one big item go bad, One of the motors in one of the slides went bad. I think you get together and find the layout that you like, then get the best deal for it....Do a good walk thru, checking everything, and don't take it off the lot until everything you find is repaired, If you do take it off the lot, it may take up to a year to get it back in for repairs..Good luck

It will be a compromise...

I would seriously consider the possibility of looking at some used units if you don't have to have the latest and greatest.

Newmar made a helluva nice fiver, but discontinued it, ditto Teton Homes and a few others. I have seen 20 year old Teton homes that are in better shape than brand new ones of a different brand sitting on the dealer's lot.

I have had a couple of Airstreams, biggest advantage to them is that they can be torn completely down and rebuilt if the need arises, not so with the laminated construction of the newer units. They have their own set of issues.

Don't forget to look at all the behind the scenes stuff too, like axles, shackles, tank supports, plumbing and wiring.

And also look at how the drawers are built. I am amazed at the lousy construction of the draws. Try for dove tail but is hard to find.
