Winterization

Any idea on the actual location of a 2015 250KBHS Aerolite water pump? Any ideas if it already comes with the by-pass kit or do I need to purchase it?

Found the pump located underneath one of the pull out drawers to the left of the stove.

I am assuming that by turning the valves that go horizontally will turn off water to the water heater and by turning the one valve that runs vertically this will then bypass the water heater for winterization? Any help is appreciated!

Does the winterization kit go before the water filter on the pump or after the filter?

You are right about bypass.
The other I can not answer.

Thank you, I also have a phone call in with the manufacturer of the water pump, as my dealer is of no help at all. They couldn't even begin to tell me where to look, at the least the one guy I spoke to. Then I called later and spoke to another person who at least gave me suggestions. Blaming the RV industry (even though they do suck) is not a viable excuse for me. If you sell it, you better be able to service it and provide answers back to questions from your customers. Dutchmen still has not replied back to my e-mail after 48 hours. If I wait for them, winter will be over!

Yes, the white is cold, the red is hot. By turning off the inlet and outlet of the water heater, and by opening the bypass valve, you have isolated the hot water tank. In that configuration, cold water goes right into the red (hot water) lines. Water can then flow through both the red and white, but nothing goes through the water heater. At this point you open the drain plug (usually a plastic hex) on the outside of the heater, and let the tank water drain out.
Notice that all this talk has been about water heater, not water pump.
Now, regarding the pump, some TTs have an extra hose at the pump, on the suction side, to pull in antifreeze from a bottle, as a way of injecting antifreeze (the pink RV kind) into the pump, pipes, faucets, and thus into the toilet and sewer p-traps. This is so you don't have to put AF into the fresh water tank, which can take a lot of flushing in the spring. The fresh water tank can simply be drained.
Another method is to hook up an air compressor set to 30 psi to the city water inlet, and blow out the lines.
I just saw in my water HEATER owner's manual, that they recommend blowing out the bottom of the heater tank, even after the drain plug has been removed. I've never done that, but they assert there is still some water and calcium in the bottom. I'll try it this year when we winterize in November.

Winterization what's that Still over 100 degrees here in the desert.
Then again I see more and more out of state RV's coming out here at this time of year. Must be all the folks that don't want to winterize their rigs.
We call them Snowbirds.

Well, we actually have one last trip planned one week from Thursday, and then its time to winterize. Bought my RV anti-freeze at Menard's today for $3.49 per gallon, they actually had a few more RV related items such as the winterization pump kit that I wanted so I bought that as well. Had to call up Camping World as I measured wrong for my trailer cover, (another item you don't need) and my purchases for the year are finally done. But sad the camping for the season is coming to a close. By the way it went from a Beautiful start of September with above average temperatures to suddenly closing out the month with the usual, lower 60's! It only gets worse over here in Michigan temperature wise, but wouldn't change it for the world!
