I almost fainted when I paid 20k for for my brand new 2005 GMC Sierra, 4.8 V-8,
5 speed and crank up windows.

I threw up in my mouth when I paid 29k for my 16' Colorado. I can't see myself breaking the 30k ceiling anytime soon.

There's nothing better than the last payment on a truck...

too much scratch for me also, buy a good used one with low miles and extended warranty. I did that and never looked back at a new one. Mine had 16k on it and was 3 years old. I got a 50 deductible 100000 mile warranty that covers all electrical, drive train and other components. I also paid a heck of a lot less.
