Outside water spray connector

Folks...had a small issue with the outside water spray connector on our 09 Koidak 20 FL when getting ready for our first trip of the season. The spring activated water connection valve stuck open. When I hooked up the water I had a good spray of water coming from the connection. A simple ...fix turned off the water and used a small screw driver to press open and close the valve a couple of times to exercise it and to get rid of any dirt.

Re: Outside water spray connector

Yeah....that can happen if a piece of dirt or some kind of contaminate gets behind that ring that needs to completely close in order to shut off the water.....you did the right thing to clear it!

Re: Outside water spray connector

Had to have mine replaced already! Leaked badly from the first tIme the pump was turned on. You would think someone would have noticed it before delivery!

Mine works but it is sure hard to get it connected. These are great to wash off the slide out.

Re: Outside water spray connector

I found that if you relieve the pressure with another tap and the pump off, it seems to go together a little easier.

Re: Outside water spray connector

No matter what I did mine would not stop leaking. Farm boy solution? pulled the hose off the back side, inserted a bolt and then clamp around the hose/bolt. End of problem.

Re: Outside water spray connector

I have both hot & cold water in the sink in the outside cook center, but not on the outlet for the spray hose.

Re: Outside water spray connector

I try not to use mine now for fear of the leak returning.
