Leak in winegard antenna

Last time I went camping I noticed water in the little plastic pointing device on the antenna. Did some on-line research and decided to change out the worm gear as it has a little rubber washer that dries out if you do not lube it with silicon 2X a year!! Hope it works, Here is the repair. I also put some more Dicor lap sealant around the base just in case! Has any one ever had this issue?

Update

I went camping last week and no sign of leak! I hope it is fixed. It did rain a bit so we shall see. I know everyone was just dying for a update on me recent fix.
