Re: Kodiak 200 qb

We own a 2010 Kodiak 20 FL. I think the layout is the same as the 200 QB.
There are only 2 of us with 2 small dogs. We are restricted by our tow vehicle to the weight and size of a trailer we can tow and this met our requirements. It also has a walk around queen rv bed plus all the feature we were looking for. We have had some issues during warranty but they were addressed. Yes we like it and would recommend it. If u need more infor please send me a pm or use this forum. I have also posted some pics on this forum.
If anyone else has something to add please chime in.
Hope this helps

Re: Kodiak 200 qb

The 200 QB is on our shortlist to purchase after this season if and when I sell our current TT.
My question is to those who are towing this TT is are your using a WDS, a friction sway control or just towing without sway or weight assistance.
This is not a very heavy trailer so I was thinking I could get by with a single friction sway bar but if those who are towing it feel the need of a WDS then I will take their advice and purchase one.
A couple of reasons we like this model is that it has a half decent galley and does not have a slide, not that I am against slides but it is just another thing to breakdown and I like to keep things simple plus the color and windows make it look great.
My TV is a MBML 320 if that matters, it is a heavy truck built BOF so it is a pretty vehicle.

We bought the equalizer brand hitch (10k) with built in sway control, and are pleased with the results. > Rob

We purchased a WDS only...works great. Also added firestone airbags to the rear end of the TV

I'm thinking of adding airbags to my TV. Is that something my regular mechanic can install you think or do I need to take it to a specialist?

They're not hard to install. I installed a set on my Silverado.

Re: Kodiak 200 qb

I purchased my Firestone air bags from these folks
...http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/suspen...e-air-bag-kits.

$289.51 US shipping included to the USA did nombuy the compressor. Picked them up had the Nissan dealer install them...they charged me about$200 bucks cd for about 2 hours work for the install
Local Nissan dealer wanted $450.00 not installed. Local auto parts wanted $375.00. I don't have room in the garage to do the work my self...but looks like an easy install. Hope the link works

I have not bought a Kodiak yet. I have looked at the 200 qb. I like it a lot. the question I have is the heater. I notice that there is no vent in the floor. how well does it heat. I am cold natured.

Our furnace worked well as the trailer is small and we dressed in layers...we carried a 1500 watt electric heater and used that when we had a full hook ups... Did that to save on propane costs as your paying for the electricity in the full hook up costs.

The trailer furnace fan was noisy

Hope this helps ...
