Fresh Water Tank

How is it possible to get water in my fresh water tank without filling it manually.
Is there a transfer line between city water and fresh water tank????
Has anyone else had this situation???

Some RV's and TT's have a fresh water fill line with valve connected to the city water line. I don't know about your model, but mine does not.

If it has such a fill line and valve it could leak in to the fresh tank and fill or over fill it. The valve may be in a wet bay compartment.

Otherwise it could be the phantom elf tank filler.

You've got a non-return valve that's not closing. I believe that is the only way you could get water into the freshwater storage tank while connected to City Water.

Your freshwater tank should have some low point drains. Open those, connect to city water and see if water comes out of the low point drains. Then you'll know what's going on.

Update

Thanks to all that commented on the above subject. Here we are in Coos Bay, Or. woke up to a big fresh water puddle under our travel trailer. (I intentionally left the cap off the fresh water drain line underneath the trailer) City water connected directly to trailer.
Deduction: water is somehow by-passing fresh water tank pump and entering fresh water tank (which is unplugged).
Could it be caused by to high water pressure from city. (Pressure here ((Mill Casino RV Park)) doesn’t appear to be to high).
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a leaky valve in your water pump. May be due to dirty filter holding it open.

First off. One of those regulator water valves with the meter on it would be a good investment weather your pump is leaking back into the fresh water tank or not. Second, the only connection. You may have to your fresh water tank and your internal water supply is through the water pump. If you have a Christmas tree of valves look there too.
