Very nice. The skylight rocks and I really like the lights under the counter. Are they 12 volts. What brand is the backslash? I haven't seen that anywhere.

Skylight helps me out huge! I hate using all the interior lights during the day. Skylight isn't huge, but big enough to light up the entire center of the rig. I didn't want something that was too big that would blind anyone sitting at the dinette or sofa. I don't use a single light during the day now. LOVE that! lol

Under counter light is 12 volt strip. One picture you can see where we installed the light switch near the front door. My hubby tapped into the light on top of the sink.

The tiles are peel and stick veneer slate tiles. I bought them at Canadian Tire. Super easy to use, no grout just literally peel and stick. In person they look like actually rock. Not cheap looking at all AND very light

This looks like a US company that stocks them

Nice work! Where did you get the stove cover? I like where you put the paper towel rack, I may have to steal that idea.

I got the cover on Amazon but Camping World carries them too. Its good, 90% of the time it stays totally straight while driving. IF it shifts, its only by a few inches and that's because we went over a crazy amount of train tracks.

Paper towel holder works there perfectly. I didn't want to take up any real estate on my counter since I am limited

Yeah, we have the same counter set up. The wife insists on putting a little lamp on the counter by the window, that and the counter top paper towel holder we have basically takes up all the counter space.

Yes it's a LED nightlight with a sensor. We have a few of them around the trailer so the kids can go to the bathroom in the evening without flicking on lights. I also bought 2 bar LED lights (slim - motion sensor) One is installed above the doorway in the washroom and one in the main body of the TT. Again, so the kids can walk around without trying to find the lights to turn on.

I like the LED's under the belly. What brand did you go with? Also how did you power it?

I put a dimmer on my awning LED's. It makes it much nicer because they were very bright.

lol oh sh*t these are questions for my husband! I will ask him and post it for you. It took him no time at all to wire it up. Right now we only have the LED on one side. He was thinking of going all around. It's bright but not crazy bright since he installed inside the skirt.

Here is where I ordered the LED lights from. I had to buy an additional roll (no remote) to get the desired length of 30 feet

Did you cut into the roof to add your clear skylight? I love that idea but would be worried. Would love to know.

Just read your previous thread that answered my own question! Great idea! Will have to remember that. We are looking into purchasing a 242BHS in the near future. Enjoy!!!

We recently purchased the 2016 282DBHS. We absolutely love it so far (1 month in) and I really enjoy seeing the mods you've made. Please keep the great ideas coming. I need to look into copying your paper towel holder and new lav sink. The faucet that comes with the unit is way too small. If you have any advice about removing the paneling so I can get behind there to make modifications then please let me know. And by paneling, I mean any of it. I'm finding stripped screws everywhere that need to be fixed.

Thank you,

J4

We bought our 242BHSL this week. Looking forward to enhancing it with some upgrades here and there too. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I purchased the stove cover but when I realized it has to be screwed into the solid surface counter, I opted to store it during travel and only lay it ontop of the range when not moving for additional counterspace. I like the idea of a tile like material behind the range surface. Can't imagine how that wall covering will look once we actually cook something there (dirty).

I was disappointed that we can't add a towel bar in the bathroom given the lack of wall studs or wood backing. It came with two robe hooks so that will have to do for now. We are going to invest in those 3M white adhesive hooks for other uses as someone else has suggested.

Thanks again.
