Electric Slide Out

I must have missed it, can someone tell me how to manually retract the slide if there is not power? I looked for a crank handle under chassis but did not see one..

Re: Electric Slide Out

Our 2010 25C-GS has a 1/2 inch bolt head on the end of the shaft under the couch or Galley area. Nothing came with the trailer to use under there (but there were instructions in the literature about the bump out), so I purchased a 1/2 inch "gear" wrench to keep in the trailer tool box, just for this purpose.

I think the best thing to do is practice and learn how before it becomes an emergency.

Re: Electric Slide Out

Remember to disconnect the power before you use the manual retract. Apparently you can damage the motor if it is still connected to power.

Re: Electric Slide Out

Ours has access behind the steps. It works with the crank handle for the stabilizer jacks.

Re: Electric Slide Out

Click here, then go to the Parts Manual Tab. Then, scroll down to Power Slides.
Once you've forund your slide room Type, the Manual Slide Operation should be shown.

Re: Electric Slide Out

Dave, which slide room type does ours have? I don't have any info in manual or anything else we got with it. I assume it would be under the one titled Lippert Frame mounted Slideout System, if thats it, all we do is unhook the battery and start crankin behind the steps?

Re: Electric Slide Out

Bruce,

Based on this, yes, it's a Lippert component. You can see here that the access is in the frame behind the step. And yes, I would disconnect the battery before manually cranking in the slideout.

Ancient Chinese Secret.

Actually, it was sent to my by Kodiak Customer Service when I asked them the same question about the manual slide access.

I have a 2011 Coleman 240rb. I found out that the instructions for this procedure for mine was on happijac.com. You have to remove the small panel on the side of the couch closest to the queen bed. Only 2 screws and gives you access to small white electrical box and gold manual drive. Hope this helps.
