Cracking decals

Does anyone know how to fix/stop the vinyl decals from cracking on my travel trailer??? I have waxed them but nothing is helping? It is a 2010 Dutchman Kodiak. I keep it in South Florida in storage when not in use. Thank you for any help.

Yes, keep the RV out of the sun; cover or garage. My front cap faces south when we're home and it's cracking, too. Some will say to coat them with 303 protectant, which didn't help in my case - nothing helps in the AZ sun.

Whatever you do don't use any wax product with hydrocarbons in it. Even though 303 protectant might help fading, nothing short of a UV rated cover can prevent shrinkage from high UV/heat damage in southern climates. I wish they would use actual paint products but that's not the 'cheap' way to do things like most RV manufacturers prefer.

The decals can be removed with a delicate touch and razor blade. Since yours are cracked it might be easier to use Goo Gone type products to soften the adhesive.

Before I'd remove them I'd place a plastic gridded template over the decal to transfer the size and curvature.

Then I'd go to the local sign shop and have them cut me new decals from vinyl lettering by following the layout on the template.

There are some very good products to remove these. Do a google search. Paint the stuff on take a plastic scrapper and off they come. Did this to my old trailer.
