I measured the distance between the tires and it is around 9 1/2 inches at the closest point so I am guessing the X-tended version would be better. Anyone else using these or has suggestions?

No you want the 10" model.
Make sure that when the chock is completely closed it will fit between the tires. I found that they were a very tight fit on my trailer.
If I had a do over, I would have just gone to the BAL C-jacks. I had them on my old Airstream and didn't know what rocking was until I got the scissor jacks on this camper.
