Aerolite 242BHS- Bunk area

My wife and I were at an RV show last weekend and really liked the Aerolite 242BHS (we currently own a small hybrid TT and looking to step up in the future).
One appealing feature was the rear door with the happy jack bunks to store bikes.
Would 4-26" mountain bikes fit in this area?
Does a bike fit through the door easily?
Any other feedback from owners would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Can't answer the question, but as a former hybrid owner, you'll never regret getting a hard sided TT. No more leaking molding canvas worries, and the sound difference for sleeping is amazing.

We have the 282BHS and I think the bunk area is similar and has the happy jack setup. Ours will easily stow 4 full size bikes, but I have to bring them through the main cabin as the door is not tall enough to fit the bikes. I'm thinking about getting a floor bike stand to keep the bikes upright and from banging into one another during travel.

Thanks dawniewest, we are a bit concerned about losing the tent feeling!

And thanks Tygar as I was skeptical a bike would fit through the back door.
How are you storing them now?
I am currently doing something like this in my hybrid on the dinette and would probably do a similar set up using these fork holders in the bunk area to store 4 bikes.

I have the 282DBHS as well. We keep two adult mountain bikes, two kids, bikes, a couple of Razer scooters, a Weber Q grill, EZ Canopy, Camp chairs and folding tables, and a bin of toys in the spot under the bunks.

The bikes do not go in through the rear door. I bring them in the main entrance and once in lower the bunk down just until it touches the bikes. I didn't put any mounting system on the floor because this spot is used for the dogs when we are setup.

Its really nice having the power bunks and all the storage underneath, however, the bunks are a bit narrower than non-power bunks.

I have the 282DBHS as well. My mountain bikes fit through the rear door and into the bunk area without problems. I can get 4 bikes in there but I have to turn the handlebars because they get in the way of each other.
