Advice on buying a new small Aerolite

Hi all new to the forum. My wife and I have decided that a smaller Aerolite would be the best size for us. We are not new to rv's. We were able to look at at new 213 today a 2016. I did a little research and saw that the same size camper was also made in the 225 model which has no big outside kitchen but much more inside kitchen space and storage. However there are only 2 used ones for sale i can find as they were only made from 2013-2014. They are both 8-10 hrs away. The 225 seems like it would fit our needs better. I am wondering if any members have seen one in person. The concern I have is if the bed is a little bit too much ' in the kitchen'. ?? I cant find anything on the net that gives me a shot of the spacing between the bed and the extended kitchen counter. Could this be a negative?

Am also wondering why manu switched from the frameless windows to the sliders? cost or by demand?

and of course I wonder why the 225 was discontinued?

I don't know much about the 225, but was hell bent on getting the 218RBSL because it has a murphy bed and front slide, giving you an island kitchen. It was enormous on the inside for the size with decent storage. We ended up choosing the 213 because of the giant shower and outdoor kitchen, which I now wouldn't own a camper without. And we didn't want to sacrafice our "porch" space with the front slide.

It just depends on what you do when you camp. I'm outside 90% of the time.

Don't know squat about RV's, but when I opened the bathroom door in the little 213, like dawniewest, I was sold. That's a nice lavatory setup for any size RV, but unexpected for a tidy trailer and featherweight to boot.

And yep, that's some campground porch that comes with it too.

We are two months into our 213RBSL and love it. We put together 1 must have and 1 REALLY want when we went searching: Outdoor kitchen was the must have and the King Bed was the REALLY want. It really narrowed down to the 213RBSL. Couldn't be happier, its a great camper and its great when people check out that Outdoor Kitchen/Porch and most people can't believe we have a king size bed!

You'll get no debate from me? I love the 213, as well.

Ironically, the King Size bed was my ONLY dislike. Lol
But took less than 15 minutes to fix that.

When I upgrade, and I will, I will have an outdoor kitchen again. And I will want a full shower like the 213 has.

I researched for 6 months before settling on the 213. The closest thing that I found the match the 213 was a Coachmen RV Apex Ultra-Lite 215RBK. After looking at one, I bought a 213 last summer instead. It's perfect for two people, great outside kitchen, assume full size shower. The king size bed was the icing on the cake.

Wow, that is very similar to the 213. I still like our outdoor kitchen better, although you do lose some storage space. I also don't like the wall TV units as it makes it feel way smaller inside. The dinette and seats seemed to awkwardly stick out into the room as well.

I'm biased, but I think you did well picking the 213.

213's seem to have a cult following.

I suspect it is because once you actually get it home and start using it, it delivers far more than you expected. It has SO MUCH for being a small package.
Sure, every RV is an combination of compromises. But the trade-offs on the 213 turn out to be so livable.

We're looking at buying an Aerolite 213RBSL. With the dinette slide pushed in, can you still access the bathroom? Can you squeeze bast the kitchen counter?

Yes you can, it's tight but you can get there. We take the table top off and store it and then it's no problem at all.
