25 QS Kodiak Side Slide Out Issues

Just purchased a new to me 2008 Kodiak 25QS. Took it on its first trip and the last hour was a pretty rough road, when we got there we found 4 lag bolts rolling around.
Turns out they were from the track that bolts the slide frame to the underneath of the seat assembly on the couch slide near the valance on the botton. I drilled new holes and installed them and for some reason I could still push the top of the slide out approx 3 to 4 inches when closed. Still have too much play, or is that normal?

Thanks

Doesn't sound normal, but hard to visualize, can you give us a picture.
