Just got back from 200 mile trip this weekend with our 241 rbsl, had a lot of questions about the Ford Ranger that I tow with. It does well I just do not get in a big hurry, am able to run the speed limits. I was thinking about the new mid size GM truck.

just back from our new club campout over 220 miles & 5400 pounds towing we used 13.00 gallons of gas had fire safety class made some crafts on Saturday along with a folk singer after dinner and Church on Sunday before sendoff a good weekend and if in the area of of Ohio please join us we have lost 85% of current membership and looking for family's and don't have and RV no problem you don't have to have one or a certain brand all are welcome to have a blast

I would like to give an mid season up date towing report on the new Chevy midsize truck out new this year there is a recall on the front seats may no bolted down but if you dive a lot you could tell easy we have towed 5 times had added some more tow aids links on the hitch witch help out and the first trip out had full water tank of 52 gallons around 500 pounds and none home round trip 220 miles used 13 gallon of gas and two weeks ago 55 miles round trip and 9 gallons round trip highest speed 69 mph here are some new pics :

next week as of now we plan to take our truck and kodiak on its first road trip since we frst had it inn febuary 2013 at that time we would not think of it. In the past few months as we put the truck and rv towing and feeling good how it has done now this will be the first trip with one since May 2000 just hope all goes well

Does that have the 7000lb tow capacity? Do you know what rear end, im assuming 3.42?
What is your mileage with everyday driving? Would love to have just one truck for towing and work.

I have the 3:42 that is part of the tow package we have towed the Kodiak 6 times & get 14-16 towing and 19-25 solo we live where the speed is 45-55 anything above 50 the front shutters in the grill to help out.
the 7000 towing is ball hitch we have weight carrying it goes to 7800 with that and are very impressed how it does.

to get it fixed it will be around 710 in with a new radio .
the good thing this one should not have the one defect because the older version had it this one doesn't it they are not recalled on the fact it does not affect basic operations of the vehicle performance

It used to be fairly simple and straight forward to repair a vehicle: Get the new part, take out the old part, put in the new part. Now, you need to add this step: Get computer to tell the vehicle's onboard computer that part has been changed.

Our previous TV was a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4. About 18 months after we took it home and started making payments, we received a note stating that there was a recall due to a problem with the fuel gauge. Having already been under the dash, I noticed that there was only a single multi-pin connector on the back of the instrument cluster. My simple minds thinks "Easy peasy, lemon squeezey. In and out in about 10 minutes at the dealership." Nope, not that simple. Ten minutes to replace the instrument cluster, nearly 45 minutes for the laptop and the vehicle to agree to talk to one another and then another 10 minutes before the vehicle computer would accept the information about the new instrument cluster. And don't think about asking the computer guy what the problem is. His laptop isn't much more helpful that any other Windows based program with regard to what's happening.

With this in mind, I will refrain from saying that maybe you could find a replacement at the salvage yard. Chances are that you'll need to tell the onboard computer that you replaced the part with a new part.

I'm pleased to report that the Colorado and Kodiak have made a safe journey south we Little on zero trouble the new part the radio that we busted for days was changed and seems to be better than the first one. we only stopped twice in London KY and on the city limits of Chattanooga Tennessee and have not fueled up since and just close to a half a tank now.
we have worked on the Kodiak here we moved the TV the dealer put in and on problem we had in may is once again happening in the glass in the slide out over head bin but found in time and will have it fixed this week

I'm assuming you took I-75? How did the Colorado do at the Tenn/Ky border? That's a big ole hill to climb.

We have this 2015 have put over $560 us dollars of work in our Kodiak this year and 1200 miles on up till now and have just put a Wi-Fi booster to get our net Felix and computer up in running for less than $29.00 and there is a lot more in 2016 replacing the TV antenna to the new Winegard’s Rayzar that automatic looks like a mini satellite dish, and works using similar principles. does not need to raze or move on your own and no more forgetting to let I down and we still have 2 long trips to go around 500 miles this season as of now we have used it more than in 2015 it helps to have a strong versatile truck to get it done.

this is a timber tote like a hollow log and last 4-6 hours when lit

well on February 15 2013 we picked up our Kodiak 241 RBSl now it is getting close to February 15 2016 over that time we have used a 2003 Ford Expedition to bring it home and then a 2003 Chevy trailblazer and now entering the second year our 2015 Chevy Colorado over the winter our tuck has some up grades Nerf bars led tail gate light bar on it the bars came stock black I upgraded them to gun metal gray with a hammer finish and this year we are looking at more changes to our rig and the first full year with the Good Sam club since we left the camp crawlers in 2013

in my third year still doing more changes and upgrades replace the glass in my slide out with acrylic for less weight and to fix the one that broke re did my shelf and new smart TV in the front bedroom
