Where you going??

I thought it would be neat to find out where others are going camping since we live all over the country.

Next weekend my camping partners (2 TT and 3 5'ers) and I are going to a Missouri State Park called Johnson Shut-ins. Neat place, nice hiking and when it's warmer some unique swimming.

Here is a link..

Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park | Missouri State Parks

This summer we have 6 Missouri State Parks and a 2 week Yellowstone trip planned along with others.

If this thread goes anywhere, I will post other places we are going.

Please share your plans We just might find places for the future.

We are going to spend this summer in western Montana. We used to go to Utah every year but it is time to experience some new country. We are going to play it by ear. Find a place we like and stay a while then look for another.

Enjoy Johnson Shut ins! We have been there many times when the kids were growing up and while we living in Memphis. I had heard that the park was flooded out a while ago...it sounds like it is back up and running.

Brings back many fond memories...

Norwood Campground in central NC, Uwarhie National Forest area. We are on a scouting trip. In May we will be chaperons/tech support for ~40 pageant girls on a camping trip at the local BSA reservation. It is part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Journey, we will be boondocking on that trip. They are not allowed to use electricity and have to cook on charcoal or campfire.

Leaving for Norwood around 10 am on Friday This will be the first trip of the season with many more to come.

Come this summer we are planning on going to Glacier National Park for a couple of weeks. Have been to Flathead Lake but didn't quite make it to Glacier. The Lord willing we'll make it this year.
Don't know where we will stay right now but sometimes that's what makes a trip worth while.

I will also be at Glacier at some point in my travels. I was checking about a book called "Big Rig Best Bests" and it lists this campground at Glacier for having large spaces.

Leaving Casa Grande, AZ tomorrow (Tuesday), getting out of this 94-96 degree heat... heading north to Flagstaff to spend a few days around the Grand Canyon and milder temps.

Just got home from 4 days at Fort Wilderness in Disney world. Once I got this long as* Voltage into the spot with a non turning long wheel based F350, we had a great time. Great camp ground!

And to tie this thread to another one, we spotted two other Voltages there...

Sorta off-topic... but that's the exact reason I opted for the F450 instead of the F350... same truck (almost), but with wider front-end geometry for better turning radius. The trade-off is that I give up about a mile/gal due to the 4:30 rear end.

Glad you got 'er in there...

We are just wrapping up 3 months on the road. We left our home in Colorado (turned the keys over to renters) just after the new year. First made our way to Tucson, AZ for a week then onto San Diego's Mission Bay RV Resort for a month. After that we moved onto Paradise RV Resort in Oceanside, CA the onto Carpenteria State Beach. Last week we moved away from the coast and are now in the Santa Barbara wine country at Flying Flags RV resort in Buellton, CA.
It's been an amazing trip and I have mixed feelings about heading home next week. My Wife, 10 yr old and 10 month old are considering renting out the house for a year next winter and staying on the road.
This summer we'll do trips to Sun Valley Idaho as well as closer to home like Crested Butte, CO
