Just a fantastic desert oasis in the middle of nowhere. No cell service, no WiFi, just pure relaxation. The huge natural hot spring hot tub is in the larger building next the pool and the roof opens.

I won't share my favorite places as it's already hard enuf to get reservations. Happily the snowbirds will soon be gone and we can get our parks back (at least until they close for the summer).

We have only made a couple of weekend trips so far this year, nothing exciting. Our first long trip is coming up the end of April. We are going to Four Paws Kingdom, the dog can't wait.

Here is a picture from a couple of years ago.

Thom, as AZY states above, not everyone wants to give details of their favorite camping spot, fishing hole, best girlfriends phone #,....well you get the idea.

I guess we want to share our fun without ruining our fun

If you’re really interested, and PM me, im happy to oblige.

Ha! I plead “guilty”.

Left my winter digs down the road in Casa Grande last Monday (pictured)... now in Laughlin, NV for a week before moving up to Death Valley sometime next week.

Over the next 6 weeks I’ll be slowly making my way north thru western Nevada, then pivoting east... crossing over the northern portion and then into Utah... eventually ending up in Wyoming to spend the summer outside of Yellowstone.

Is laughlin still the great place it used to be? When I was there, there were only three casino's and they provided transport between the three by houseboat! You had to go to Arizona (just across the bridge) to get pizza or go to little restaurants.

Well, I’m never been much of a gambler, so that’s not why I’m here. As far as the casinos go, I can only assume the place has grown a bit since you were here. There are 5 or 6 of them “on the strip”, including some of the big names (Harrah’s, Golden Nugget, Tropicana, etc.)... and then, down in the very southern triangle where the NV-AZ-CA borders all join, there’s the Avi Indian casino & KOA where I’m staying.

This is my 2nd time in the area, as I helped a friend out by coming out of retirement and taking a temp-job at the airport tower across the river in Bullhead City for a bit back in 2015. Although there’s no real commercial airline service into the field, Harrah’s contracts with commuter airlines & runs twice-daily charter service into the area from various parts of the country to fly people in on their all-inclusive 3-day packages.

There are a few more businesses mixed in with the casinos now (an outlet mall, In-N-Out Burger, other mixed stores), but the bulk of all other “everyday life” is still across the river in Bullhead.
