Ocala RV Camp Resort
Just got home from visiting my in-laws in Ocala, FL. Stayed at Ocala RV Camp Resort. Nice place, may have been a KOA at one time in its life. Not kept up to the KOA standards but not a dive either. Didn't use the amenities as most of the time we were with my in-laws at their house.
All sites are covered in grass with sandy soil. Recommend ground pads for support jacks. Mix of recreational and full timers on the grounds. Fairly quiet all the time, no highway noise despite proximity to freeway (I-75). A bit cheaper than a KOA with or without a Good Sam card. Wild life on grounds includes ducks, squirrels, cat and turtles.
GPS locatable grocery stores and big selection of restaurants nearby. Recommend Sonny's Bar-B-Que for a great meal although many different cuisines are available in the area. The area is a horse lovers dream spot from what my wife told me. Silver Springs is about 5 miles away and if you like a good walk in a park, not a bad day to be had there.
