Newbie RVer.

Hi. I am the new owner of a slightly used Dutchmen RBS Cassic 2011.
Any tips on making my initial foray into RVing slightly easier, my thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums! Only advice I can give is DO IT! We all have been there at some point in our lives, you learn by experience. So go have fun and be flexible.

There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Fire up the fridge the night before. Get Valterra twist on valves for the sewer pipes. Be prepared to change a tire (lug nut wrench, bottle jack, Lynx levelers, good spare). Check over all systems before heading out. Sanitize the fresh water system. Practice turns in a big parking lot if you haven't towed a RV before. If you have time grease the wheel bearings and check over the brakes.
