New member from Iowa with Coleman 274BHS

Afternoon everyone,
My wife and I recently bought a 2017 Coleman 274BHS Latern edition. We towed it to my folks house 2 weeks ago and camped in it for the weekend. Took some getting used to, but we are slowly getting there. Few items we would like to improve on, like adding some steps to get into the top bunk (climbing grips?) and some rail/safety system to keep our 1 year old from rolling out of bed.

Also, my wife saw an item with a stretchy net mounted to the back of the dinette to put shoes in? Has anyone seen/done this?

Looking forward to browsing the site and seeing what everyone else does.

Welcome to the forum. We'll be passing through your state later this month on the way to Alaska.
The steps and rail should be a simple install. I would first check with the dealer to see if the steps and rail are available from the manufacturer. Otherwise, you will have to build them yourself or locate someone who can.
Hang-up shoe holders are available in most larger RV stores or you can get them online from Camping World.
Update us of your solution and happy camping.
