Went from a Forest River 19L hybrid to a Dutchmen 261 bhs. What a difference. Well worth the change!

Thanks for the welcome's. Not a lot of action on here. What's going on? I hope I can add a bit to this site. I've had a few problems with my Dutchmen and horrible dealer support which seems common in my area. But still love it. Lots of storage!

I am on a few "camping/rv sites" and what I find is if isn't camping season the activity slows.

Some of us (me included) read more than I post....we love to have activity and your input will be appreciated.....so maybe we can have a winter camp fire and chat about your Dutchmen experience......stealers oppps dealers on the other hand need a whole new thread!!! LOL

Twinscrew, for us Canadians some of us are Canada Geese and go South in the winter and some of us are black bears who sleep the whole winter. The rest of us complain about the cold and all the snow because we're not a goose or a bear. When I'm not complaining, I've been drooling through the Rv magazines and planning the mods that I'll do in the spring (first one will be the sewer hose storage made with a PVC fence post and eavestrough). Stick around we've just about reached the half way point of this winter which means it can only be getting nicer outside.

Well said. LOL. I've got less than a week to the first RV show of the season in Toronto.

That seems like a good idea. I'll have to start one.

Hi Twin,

Welcome from the left side.

What you buy a trailer, then expect dealer support!

It is my firm belief that RV dealers don't give a rats behind about customer service. Probably 90% of their customers are one time purchasers. My personal policy is I never take any type of vehicle back to the selling dealer unless it's a warranty issue. Even then I usually go to another dealer.

I like to deal with the small independents repairs. I find they work harder to keep your business.

I don't take the trailer in unless it is warranty. I would rather do everything myself. Less hassle! All dealers close to me are so busy. You make appointment months away and by then it's winter here. Haha

Hi twinscrew.. welcome to the forum from a fellow Calgarian..Sorry to hear you are having a few problems. I have the 265BHS & also had prob's with the dealer. I too love my trailer but will never go back to the dealer or recommend anyone else to go there..Hope you get things sorted.

Welcome! Same set up as me, I had some issues with the dealer as well.... Just doing work without authorization because it was out of warranty.

what dealer are you guys using that is giving you problems?

i bought my Kodiak 276BHSL from Racetrack RV in Airdrie and they have been great to deal with, although my trailer is still under warranty.

Welcome. I'm also new and have a love hate relationship with my Denali!! Sounds like most everyone does!! Luckily have a fairly good dealer just seems to take forever to get approved. If you read through the posts a lot of your questions are already answered!!

Sunridge. I finally got a hold of them today and hopefully I can get everything sorted out. They have no record of anything. Just sent them all the emails I had on it. Very frustrating!! Glad I had the emails still.

I hope you have better luck with Sunridge than I did. Even when they did agree to do warranty work they screwed something else up.
Maybe I was just unlucky.... Good luck & keep us posted..
