Installing the covers over the 3 vents was very easy. I would suggest that when you are working on the roof, that you place a tarp down on the roof and a piece of plywood on top of the tarp so that you do not rip or tear the roofing material. It also distributes your weight better. The covers were very easy to install following the directions provided. We picked them up at the CW near Hanover,PA.

I hear you on the weight... at 285 myself, I have my son crawl up on the roof to inspect it several times a year while I am on a ladder inspecting it as well. I'm making a piece of 2'x4' plywood that will have carpet on the bottom so that I can place that on the roof when I really need to get up on the roof.
